Two Colorado cities rank among the best places to live in America, according to U.S News & World Report – Boulder has been knocked down 3 spots to No. 4, with Huntsville, Alabama taking the top of the list.
The annual rankings are based on affordability and desirability as well as quality-of-life factors including recreation opportunities, like parks or sports teams; artistic offerings, and fine dining.

Three new cities joined the top five in the rankings with Colorado Springs rising four positions to No. 2.

Three Colorado metro areas – have been knocked down the list significantly, due to poor air quality from wildfires as well as overpopulation.

“Over the last few years, Denver has experienced a population boom, and it doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon,” said the report. “As a result, the cost of living has dramatically increased, with housing costs seeing one of the biggest hikes. The median home sale price in Denver is now significantly higher than the national median.”
