After a 2 year hiatus, the Cherry Blossom Festival returns to Denver this weekend. This will be the 48th annual Cherry Blossom Festival at the Sakura Square in downtown Denver. Admission is free!

The festival celebrates Japanese heritage and culture through live entertainment, such as taiko drumming, karate, temple dancers, and much more. You can also partake in food and drink, a marketplace, and informative exhibits and demonstrations. Adults can enjoy sake, or craft beer to help you stay cool or hot sake if this weekend ends up being a rainy cool one.

The marketplace is a must-see. They have fine selections in their Japanese-themed marketplace that will have you browse so many goodies, including anime, pottery, jewelry, art, apparel, and more. Many of the informative booths will include information representing Japanese and Japanese American organizations that are important to our community.

So if you are looking for something a little different to do this weekend, why not immerse yourself in a little Japanese culture?

Located at Sakura Square: 1255 19th Street Denver
