With summertime quickly approaching we decided to put together our list of the top 5 things you must do in Colorado this summer.

Great Sand Dunes National Park

You can sink your feet into the tallest dunes in North America. Nestled in a spot where the Sangre de Cristo Mountains buckle inward, the dunes within Great Sand Dunes National Park were built by the San Luis Valley’s unique wind patterns. Sands of epic proportions cover 30 square miles, and the tallest dune towers 750 feet high. The kid in every visitor loves to slide down the soft sand year-round and dive into the soft-sand tracks of those who have gone before them.

Hanging Lake

In Glenwood Canyon in the White River National Forest, Hanging Lake is a rare example of a travertine geological formation. The trail is steep, rigorous, and rocky but incredibly rewarding. This Natural National Landmark features awe-inspiring scenery and gentle waterfalls! The Hanging Lake trail is a backcountry hike. The trail is steep and rocky.

Red Rocks

Historic concert venue, park and amphitheater in a spectacular setting, Red Rocks is Colorado’s iconic entertainment venue. It’s a must you check out some sort of show this summer.

Drive In Movie Theater

There’s no better way to kick off the summer than visiting Denver’s last remaining original drive-in movie theater. Always showing 3 new movies for just 9 dollars per person and kids under 12 always get in free! 8780 Rosemary St., Commerce City

Water World

America’s largest water park offers over 50 attractions and slides for all ages and is just minutes from downtown Denver. Colorado’s first watercoaster, wave pools, family raft rides, kids areas, speed slides and thrill rides can all be found at the Water World.
