Denver Inmates Were getting Drugs through Grubhub

A Denver Deputy Sheriff is looking for a new job after letting the inmates order food from GrubHub and UberEats, which also contained drugs.

Derrek Peterson was let go from his gig for trying to be the cool guy.  The incident in question involved two inmates, who told Peterson that they knew someone who did UberEats and would deliver to the prison.  For some reason, Derrek thought this was an acceptable thing for felons to request, so he allowed it.   The first time (that authorities are aware of), Chinese food showed up.  Derrek smelled and looked at the food, and then let the prisoners enjoy it.  The second time it was an order from Chipotle.  In this order, Three Burritos showed up… one for each inmate, and one for Peterson. One of the inmates burritos was apparently wrapped around some drugs.  These drugs were then distributed around the prison, where one inmate attempted suicide.

Peterson was let go last Friday after a long investigation.
