According to 9NEWS, the mother was being transported to a local hospital when her labor progressed quickly. Medics pulled over just south of mile marker 263 so they could safely help with the delivery. The baby arrived at 7:54 a.m. on September 29.
The best part: Thompson Valley EMS reported that both mom and baby were healthy afterward. An unexpected stop on the interstate became a birth story this family will have for a lifetime.
