Inside WeeCasa: Colorado’s Tiny Home Resort With Big Charm

Colorado’s lodging scene has always been diverse—from high-end resorts in Aspen to roadside motels on the Eastern Plains. But nestled in the small town of Lyons sits a one-of-a-kind option: WeeCasa, billed as the world’s largest tiny home resort.

The modern tiny home movement began gaining momentum in the early 2000s, fueled by rising housing costs and a push toward sustainability. It really took off after the Great Recession, when many sought affordable alternatives. Festivals showcasing tiny homes have popped up across the country, but WeeCasa offers something different: a permanent community designed for guests to experience tiny living firsthand.

From Flood Recovery to a Thriving Resort
WeeCasa was founded in 2015 by six partners in the aftermath of the devastating 2013 floods that reshaped Lyons. Today, the resort boasts 22 tiny homes that can collectively accommodate up to 87 guests. Whether for individuals, families, or groups, the homes are available for short-term stays, with a two-night minimum booking requirement.

What to Expect at WeeCasa
The resort sits close to downtown Lyons, making it easy to explore local restaurants, breweries, and shops. Guests can also stay on-site to enjoy firepits, gathering spaces, and quiet time in nature. For larger groups, WeeCasa offers an indoor meeting area, a spacious outdoor patio, and concierge services to coordinate activities like team-building events, weddings, family reunions, or corporate retreats.

A Unique Colorado Getaway
Tiny homes may be compact, but WeeCasa proves they can deliver big experiences. From fall escapes to cozy winter retreats, the resort provides a “different but not too far” option for Coloradans looking for a memorable stay. The concept blends affordability, sustainability, and community spirit—all within the scenic backdrop of the Rockies.

Whether you’re curious about the tiny home lifestyle or simply want a unique place to recharge, WeeCasa shows that small spaces can make for unforgettable adventures.
