Possible Human Remains Discovered in Westminster Field, Investigation Underway
A quiet walk along a Westminster trail turned into a police investigation Friday afternoon after a person reported spotting what appeared to be a human bone. The discovery was made near an open space by 122nd Avenue and Park Centre Drive, prompting a swift response from the Westminster Police Department around 2:30 p.m.
Officers secured the area and initiated an investigation into the suspicious find. A cadaver dog from the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office was brought in to assist with a broader search of the field. While no additional remains were located, authorities are continuing their efforts to determine the origin and age of the bone.
As of now, the nature and age of the possible remains remain unknown. Westminster Police have confirmed that the investigation is active and ongoing, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
