Boondocks in Northglenn Evacuated After Threats, Reopened Following Police Sweep
A popular family entertainment center in Northglenn was evacuated Sunday afternoon following threats made to the facility, prompting a swift police response and precautionary measures.
Northglenn Police received the report of the threats targeting Boondocks Food and Fun, located at 11425 Community Center Drive near I-25, and quickly cleared the building to ensure the safety of guests and staff. The evacuation took place around midday, and authorities established a reunification point for parents at 100 Malley Drive, directly across from Boondocks, to safely reconnect families.
After conducting a thorough sweep of the building, police announced just after 2 p.m. that the facility had been cleared and deemed safe to reopen. No injuries were reported, and officials stated there was no ongoing threat to the public.
Police have not yet disclosed the nature of the threats, and the investigation remains ongoing. Authorities said more details may be released as the situation develops.
