Colorado Woman Caught on Camera Keying Swastika into Cybertruck in Broad Daylight

A brazen act of vandalism in Colorado has sparked online outrage after a masked woman was caught on camera keying a swastika into the side of a Tesla Cybertruck in broad daylight. The incident, captured by the vehicle’s built-in surveillance system, shows the woman calmly approaching the truck before etching the offensive symbol into its body. The footage, originally shared on Reddit’s r/PublicFreakout, has ignited debate over both Tesla’s controversial reputation and the growing trend of Cybertruck vandalism.

Many online commentators pointed out the irony of Tesla owners facing damage from all sides—previously being targeted by conservatives who viewed the brand as too progressive, and now by liberals associating it with Elon Musk’s recent controversies. Some users criticized the act, calling it senseless property destruction, while others questioned what vandalism achieves in addressing ideological disagreements.

Despite clear video evidence, some expressed skepticism that law enforcement would take action, citing past incidents where vandalism, even when caught on camera, went unresolved. Others focused on the suspect’s appearance, noting that while she concealed her face, visible tattoos could make identification easier.

The ongoing backlash against Musk and his companies has led to increasing reports of Tesla-related vandalism nationwide. Some suggest that owning a Tesla—especially the divisive Cybertruck—has become a political statement, making the vehicles a frequent target for defacement. As tensions surrounding Musk and Tesla continue, the question remains: will law enforcement take vandalism against Cybertrucks seriously, or will it simply be seen as another casualty in the ongoing culture war?
