In 2023, Colorado saw a vibrant exchange of residents, with 232,663 people moving into the state and 211,370 leaving, resulting in a net gain of 21,293. Texas was the top state people moved from, with 32,150 Texans making Colorado their new home, surpassing Californians, who contributed 26,148 residents. Additionally, about 35,910 people came from other countries or U.S. territories, adding to Colorado’s growing diversity.

On the flip side, many Coloradans also relocated, with Texas again leading as the primary destination, drawing 25,369 residents. California and Florida were other popular states for those leaving Colorado.
