Starting April 30, Denver International Airport (DIA) will become a daily stop for the world’s largest passenger plane, the Airbus A380. This double-deck aircraft, known for its massive size and impressive capacity, will begin operating seasonal direct flights to and from Munich, Germany. The Airbus A380, at 238 feet long with a wingspan of 261 feet, is capable of carrying up to 560 tons and cruising at speeds of up to 563 miles per hour.

Denver International is well-equipped to handle such a large aircraft, with its 16,000-foot runway—the longest commercial service runway in the U.S. Passengers will board and deboard at Gate A41 in the A Concourse, specially designated for the A380.

Operated by Lufthansa, these seasonal flights will run daily from April 30 to September 30, 2025. Roundtrip prices for the Airbus A380 from Denver to Munich start at $1,240 for basic economy, with fares increasing based on the dates and class of service selected. Those looking to book their flight can visit Lufthansa’s website at lufthansa.com. This marks a significant milestone for DIA and offers a unique travel experience for aviation enthusiasts and travelers alike.
