The Denver Nuggets set out on the road for a back-to-back battle against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Paycom Center hosts Nikola Jokic vs. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, two MVP frontrunners, for a highly anticipated match-up between two of the best teams in the West.

The Nuggets are coming into this game with a huge (149-141) win at home against the Suns. Nikola Jokic made history by putting up the first-ever 30-20-20 triple-double stat line the league has ever seen. OKC took down the Portland Trail Blazers that same night with a (107-89) win without star point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander before entering this Sunday’s matchup at 11 am MT. The Nuggets are 19-13 on the road while OKC are 27-4 on their home court. Check out the best player prop bets you can make for the start of these two consecutive games.

Nikola Jokic over 10.5 assists (-115 on Bet365)

Even though the Thunder are a huge defensive threat, allowing the second-lowest point against in the NBA, Jokic still recorded a triple-double in both early season matchups against the Thunder. Nikola is an elite passer who averages 10.6 assists per game this season, putting up 22 assists this previous matchup isn’t something to bat an eye at. Jokic will be the main target for OKC to shut down but if Denver’s supporting cast can step up and create difficulty it will be a whole other story.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander over 32.5 points (-115 on Bet365)

The MVP hopeful is known for throwing up big points for his team and this game will be no different. SGA has 25 games in this 2024-2025 season where he has put up more than 32.5 points. He averages 32.8 points this season while shooting 58% on 2-pt attempts and 37.8% on the 3-pt. These two back-to-back games are going to likely decide the MVP race this season so the star point guard will do anything in his power to create shots and let them fly all game long.
