A new driving safety program, developed by the Denver police, is intended to increase motorist safety around the Mile High City.

As an alternative to writing up a ticket, the police department will now hand out $25 gift cards if you are pulled over for a broken tail light or headlight.

Those gift cards were provided by Advance Auto Parts, which worked in partnership with the department.
