Denver Police Searching for Bank Robbery Suspect Near Cherry Creek

Denver police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man suspected of robbing a bank near the Cherry Creek shopping district on Wednesday afternoon. According to DPD, the incident occurred around 12:15 p.m. in the 3600 block of East 1st Avenue. The suspect allegedly approached a teller inside the bank, passed a note demanding money, and then left the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Witnesses described the suspect as a white male, estimated to be between 20 and 28 years old, standing about 5 feet 11 inches tall with a thin build. Authorities have not released surveillance images but say the investigation is ongoing and they are actively reviewing all available evidence.

Police are urging anyone who might recognize the individual or who was in the area at the time to come forward. If you have any information, you’re encouraged to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at (720) 913-7867. Tipsters can remain completely anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
