Denver Influencer Faces 7-Year Sinus Infection After Bizarre Incident with Ex-Boyfriend

A Denver-based influencer and lawyer, Christine Connell, has gone viral after revealing an unusual and persistent health struggle. Christine claims that her seven-year-long sinus infection stems from a prank her ex-boyfriend pulled while they were staying at a hotel after her surgery. According to her, her ex-boyfriend, in what he likely thought was a harmless joke, farted directly in her face while changing clothes. She was unable to move much due to her post-surgery recovery.

Since that moment, Christine experienced constant sinus issues, including congestion and facial pain. Initially, she had no idea what caused the recurring infections. However, a recent medical evaluation revealed the presence of E. coli—a bacterium usually found in feces—in her nasal passages. Doctors linked the infection to the incident, which Christine now sees as one of the most bizarre and unfortunate health scares she’s ever faced.

Christine has consulted multiple ENT specialists over the years, but only recently did one of them identify the cause. She’s now considering surgery to remove the infected tissue and rid her body of the persistent bacteria. Despite breaking up with her ex long ago, she describes the incident as an act of “breakup revenge.” Adding to her frustration, the ex has since blocked her on social media, and others have jokingly suggested she send him the bill for her medical expenses.

Christine’s story has sparked widespread reactions, with many people now thinking twice about where and how they choose to release their flatulence.
