As the leaves begin to don their golden hues and the scent of cinnamon lingers, it’s time to embark on a cherished autumn tradition: visiting pumpkin patches.

Denver, Colorado, and its surrounding areas offer a plethora of pumpkin-filled havens that promise the perfect pumpkin and a day filled with family-friendly activities, hayrides, and the joy of wandering through fields awash with orange.

While there are so many to choose from, with a few fan favorites that are permanently closed, here are three pumpkin patches to explore in Colorado.

Anderson Farms: A Harvest Adventure for All Ages

Located just a short drive from Denver, Anderson Farms welcomes visitors to a world of fall wonders that opens on September 20 and runs throughOctober 30.

This sprawling farm boasts a pumpkin patch where you can handpick your favorite pumpkins and gourds. However, the experience goes beyond mere pumpkin picking. Embark on a corn maze adventure, take a wagon ride through the scenic countryside, and let the little ones enjoy pony rides and barrel train rides. With its charming farm atmosphere and an array of activities, Anderson Farms is a must-visit destination for families seeking an unforgettable fall adventure.

Fritzler Farm Park: Corn Mazes and Pumpkin Delights

Venture a bit further out from Denver, and you’ll find Fritzler Farm Park, a haven of fall fun. Starting September 17, then on for the 23-24, 29-20 and October 1-29.

While renowned for its intricate corn mazes, this farm also offers an exciting pumpkin patch experience. Wander through fields bursting with pumpkins of all shapes and sizes and capture the perfect autumn photo against the backdrop of the Rocky Mountains. The farm’s assortment of attractions, including a pumpkin cannon and pumpkin paintball, ensures that visitors of all ages can revel in the joy of the season.

Munson Farms: A Classic Pumpkin Patch Experience

For those seeking a classic pumpkin patch experience, Munson Farms is a beloved local favorite and is open from now until October 31 and will reopen in December.

This Boulder-based farm boasts a vast selection of pumpkins, squash, and other fall produce. While the pumpkin patch steals the show, Munson Farms also offers farm-fresh produce, including sweet corn and apples. The friendly atmosphere and simple pleasures of pumpkin-picking make it an ideal spot for a relaxing fall outing.

Whether you’re seeking a family-friendly adventure, a day of rural charm, or simply the thrill of finding the perfect pumpkin, these patches offer an array of experiences that celebrate the essence of the season. So gather your loved ones, don your coziest sweater, and set out to explore the best pumpkin patches Denver has to offer.
