A 56-year-old Denver man, identified as Tomas, has been charged with multiple offenses including burglary, attempted kidnapping, assault, and child abuse following a terrifying incident earlier this month. Police say Tomas returned to the home where he had previously helped install appliances, wearing a clown mask, and attempted to abduct an 8-year-old girl.

According to authorities, Tomas entered the home through the back door and blindfolded the child before hitting her on the head, causing her to lose consciousness. Fortunately, when she regained consciousness, she managed to fight off the attacker and run to her mother’s bedroom to alert her.

The child sustained cuts and bruises but no major injuries and was treated by doctors. The girl’s mother immediately called 911, prompting a police investigation. Officers found the clown mask and gloves left behind in the child’s room, along with other evidence linking Tomas to the crime.

It was discovered that Tomas had been at the family’s home just days before the incident to help install a washer and dryer. His familiarity with the house and the family allowed him access before the disturbing attack. Tomas now faces serious charges and is being held accountable for his actions.
