Douglas County Deputy Steps In to Help ‘Captain America’ Reach Children’s Hospital

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office deputy recently came to the aid of an Avenger in need, ensuring a special mission could continue as planned.

The heroic encounter occurred on Wednesday when Deputy Zepeski spotted a man dressed as Captain America stranded on the side of C-470. The iconic superhero’s motorbike had broken down, leaving him unable to complete his journey to Children’s Hospital in Highlands Ranch, where he was set to bring smiles to children in need of cheer.

Recognizing the importance of the visit, Deputy Zepeski went above and beyond to help. He not only ensured the safety of the stranded superhero but also personally paid for a tow truck to transport the bike to a secure location. With the deputy’s assistance, Captain America was able to continue his trip and bring joy to the kids awaiting his arrival.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office shared the story, highlighting the deputy’s act of kindness as an example of their commitment to serving the community in unique and compassionate ways. This small yet impactful gesture ensured that a day filled with hope and smiles for the children at the hospital went off without a hitch.

Deputy Zepeski’s actions serve as a reminder that heroes come in many forms, from those donning capes and shields to those wearing badges.
