The holiday season is finally here, brightening the town with dazzling lights, outstanding seasonal entertainment, exciting winter adventures, and many holiday fun activities!

Colorado’s capital is a remarkable metropolis that welcomes a large number of visitors each year. If you’re in the Mile High City this holiday season, here are some fantastic and exciting things to do in Denver.

See the Amazing Blossoms of Light

Blossoms of Light, an annual holiday event that has become a tradition for people across Colorado, is held at the Denver Botanic Gardens. Be amazed by a 360-degree stunning light show this holiday. This iconic event has been organized for more than three decades, and it attracts a large number of tourists to this glistening winter wonderland.

Hours: 5pm – 9pm

Watch the magnificent ballet The Nutcracker

The Colorado Ballet stars in a stunning production like no one have ever seen before, bringing the popular holiday favorite back to life. If you appreciate ballet, don’t miss The Nutcracker in December at the Elie Caulkins Opera House if you’re in Denver for the holidays. Even if you are not a ballet aficionado, you will still be blown away.

Ice Skating at Skyline Park

Visit Skyline Park to practice your ice-skating abilities during your Christmas holidays in Denver. Visit the Downtown Denver Rink with your family to glide around the ice and create fun and exciting holiday memories.

Check out Denver Zoo Lights

For 30 years, Zoo Lights has been creating enchantment, memories, and even marriages! Visit the magnificent Denver Zoo, which is lit by more than a million sparkling lights, courtesy of Your Hometown Toyota Stores. Take in the breathtaking sights of lit sculptures of animals. Exploring this spectacular wild wintry wonderland is guaranteed to be a hit with the kids.

When: Nov. 29, 2021 – Dec. 30, 2021 (Closed on Dec. 25)

Hours:  5:30pm – 8:30pm

Attend the Annual Grand Illumination Event

The annual Grand Illumination event is a must-visit if you’re in Denver for the holidays. This event includes:

  • Performances by the Denver Dolls
  • A visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus
  • The lighting of the Denver Union Station

Be amazed by the station’s exterior 40-foot-tall Christmas tree with more than 7,000-holiday lights.

Beautiful lights of Hudson Christmas

Bring your family to a field of dancing Christmas trees, a multi-colored forest populated by huge snowmen, a holiday light tunnel, and luminous reindeer that transform Hudson Gardens into a holiday fiesta. It’s perfect for pictures and memories with family and friends.
