Honey Boo Boo in Denver Car Crash, Recovering at Home
Former reality TV star Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson was involved in a car crash in Denver on Friday, according to her mother, June “Mama June” Shannon. Thompson was reportedly T-boned by another driver while pulling out of a driveway on her way to a hair appointment.
The other driver, a 23-year-old male, admitted to speeding at around 40 mph, Shannon said in a video update. While this was Thompson’s first crash, she avoided serious injury and is now home resting.
Thompson, who rose to fame as a child, now lives in Denver where she is pursuing a degree in neonatal nursing at Regis University. She had been preparing to start her first clinical rotation the day after the accident but may delay depending on how she feels. Shannon added that she was traveling to Denver immediately to support her daughter and help arrange transportation.
