King Soopers to Open Two New Marketplace Stores in Colorado

King Soopers is expanding its presence in Colorado with the opening of two new Marketplace stores in Fort Collins and Colorado Springs this month.

The 124,000-square-foot Fort Collins location, located at 2535 S. College Ave., will open its doors at 9 a.m. on January 29. The new store will feature a range of amenities, including fresh sushi, Murray’s Cheese, Starbucks, apparel, and pickup services. More than 250 employees will work at the new store. This new location will replace the existing King Soopers at 2325 S. College Ave., which will close permanently at 8 p.m. on January 28.

Meanwhile, a second Marketplace store is set to open in Colorado Springs at 9 a.m. on January 22. Located at 2731 N. Gate Blvd. in the Flying Horse area, this 122,000-square-foot store will offer similar features, such as fresh sushi, Murray’s Cheese, Starbucks, apparel, pickup services, and a fuel center. The Colorado Springs store will employ more than 300 people.
