Three Injured in Market Street Shooting Near Coors Field

A busy Sunday night in downtown Denver turned chaotic when gunfire erupted near one of the city’s most vibrant nightlife districts. Around 9:24 p.m., Denver Police responded to a shooting in the 1900 block of Market Street, just a short walk from Coors Field and surrounded by bars, clubs, and restaurants typically buzzing with weekend activity.

According to authorities, three individuals were transported to the hospital with injuries. While early reports didn’t detail the severity, officers later told FOX31 that the wounds were not considered life-threatening. Police did not immediately release the identities of the victims or any possible motive for the shooting.

One passerby recounted hearing approximately 10 gunshots and initially mistaking the noise for a vehicle backfiring. Within minutes, the area near 19th and Market was cordoned off with police tape as detectives and patrol units canvassed the scene for evidence and witnesses.

As of Monday morning, no arrests had been made. Police continue to investigate and are asking anyone with information to come forward. The incident adds to growing concerns about late-night violence in high-traffic entertainment zones throughout the city.
