Denver’s Pro Women’s Soccer Team Has a Name — Meet Summit FC

It’s official: Denver’s new National Women’s Soccer League team will be called Denver Summit FC. After months of community input and thousands of votes, the team unveiled its name, crest, and colors on Tuesday, symbolizing Colorado’s elevation, ambition, and pioneering spirit. The name “Summit” was chosen from a list of fan-submitted finalists that included Denver Peak FC, Colorado 14ers, and others.

Summit FC is the first major league professional women’s sports team in Denver and is already building momentum. Their training facility in Centennial is under construction and will double as a temporary 12,000-seat stadium until their permanent home near I-25 and Broadway is complete. The team is slated to hit the field in 2026, and excitement is high — a record number of ticket deposits have already been placed.

Fans can celebrate the launch of Denver Summit FC’s brand at a block party in McGregor Square on Saturday, July 26, starting at 2 p.m.
