Here in Denver, America’s tallest digital tree will be returning this holiday season.
The Mile High Tree is a seven story tall, 39-foot diameter digital tree that has lights choreographed to holiday music. The music will be multicultural so that all cultures can enjoy this holiday season.

The tree contains 60,000 LED lights and stands 10 feet taller than the famous tree in Rockefeller Center in NYC, which is also a sight to behold.

This holiday season, you can view the tree in Denver’s Civic Center Park. The digital tree will be set up next to Denver Christkindlmarket, the city’s German holiday market, near the City and County Building. This is the first time it will be in this location.
Previously the tree was displayed at Sculpture Park and the 16th Street Mall.

The Mile High Tree will be lit up nightly starting November 18th and will continue its holiday display through Saturday December 31st. Entry to see the tree is free to the public and runs nightly from 5pm to 10pm.

The tree was created by a Spanish decorative lighting production company called ILMEX Illumination. They use pixel-mapping technology to handle the lighting design.

The Mile High Tree is the tallest art installation in the history of our city. The hope is to bring people of all cultures to enjoy the festive art installation. What a wonderful thought and movement that Denver is definitely in need of. More unity and less division this holiday season is a welcome concept.
