Molotov Cocktail Thrown at Car During Baby Shower in Northglenn, Suspect Arrested

A Saturday evening celebration at EB Rains Park in Northglenn took a dangerous turn when a Molotov cocktail was thrown into a parked vehicle, according to the Northglenn Police Department. The incident occurred during a baby shower when a group noticed an individual nearby who appeared distressed and asked if they were okay. Authorities say the suspect became agitated and responded by hurling the incendiary device into a car belonging to one of the attendees.

Thankfully, the group acted quickly and was able to extinguish the flames before the fire spread. No injuries were reported. The suspect fled the scene but was located and arrested shortly after. While the car was damaged, it was not fully engulfed, and police are still assessing the extent of the destruction. Officials have stated they do not believe the attack was racially or bias-motivated.
