Man wanted for assault, child abuse in Loveland In-N-Out incident turns self in

A man who was wanted on a warrant for second-degree assault and child abuse charges related to an incident at a Loveland In-n-out turned himself in to police.

Videos of the incident have garnered attention on social media. A viewer shared a video of the incident with FOX31.

The Loveland Police Department responded to the restaurant at 1 a.m. on Aug. 4, according to a release.

Officers spoke with a 15-year-old male who said he and two of his friends were inside the restaurant “engaging in horseplay,” splashing water on each other and accidentally splashing a woman nearby, the police department said.

“The juvenile male approached her table to apologize when an adult male accompanying the woman suddenly grabbed him, placed both hands around the front and back of his neck, pulled him down to the table and threw him backward onto the floor,” the police department saod in its release.

Police said the man and woman left before officers arrived. Over the next week, police said they interviewed witnesses and reviewed several videos of different views of the incident.

Witnesses identified the man and officers confirmed his identity as Lucas Kalisher, a 55-year-old Loveland resident.

After officers presented the case to the Larimer County District Attorney’s office, a no-bond arrest warrant was issued for him on Tuesday. Police said he turned himself in Tuesday night.

Kalisher was booked into the Larimer County Jail on charges of assault in the second degree for strangulation and child abuse.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed or has information about the incident to call the Loveland Police Department tip line at 970-962-2032 or Larimer County Crime Stoppers at 970-221-6868.
