Northglenn Police Searching for Suspect Who Injured Officer During Shoplifting Incident

Northglenn police are searching for a shoplifting suspect who injured an officer while attempting to flee near Bannock Street and 104th Avenue on Monday afternoon. Officers responded to reports of shoplifting when an officer tried to detain the suspect. During the altercation, the suspect attempted to disarm the officer before escaping on foot.

The injured officer was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is reported to be in stable condition. A heavy police presence was seen outside a nearby Best Buy as officers investigated the incident and searched for the suspect.

Police have released two photos of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him. Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Spresser at 303-450-8859 or jspresser@northglenn.org.
