Skyline Beer Garden Returns to a Newly Reimagined 16th Street in Downtown Denver

Summer in downtown Denver just got a whole lot better. The Skyline Beer Garden, a beloved seasonal pop-up, has officially reopened for its sixth year—this time on a transformed 16th Street. Located at 16th and Arapahoe, the beer garden now sits at the heart of the redesigned pedestrian corridor, offering locals and tourists a lively new spot to unwind.

The beer garden’s return comes on the heels of a major facelift for the former 16th Street Mall. After years of construction, the refreshed stretch officially reopened in early June, featuring new landscaping, expanded restaurant patios, pop-up markets, live music, and now, a community beer garden with plenty of events to keep the vibes going all summer long.

Visitors can expect a packed calendar of happenings, including:

  • Yappy Hours, where you and your dog earn drink discounts

  • Purple Perks on Colorado Rockies home game days

  • Bites & Beats every Saturday night, pairing local food trucks with live music

This year’s setup also includes a striking new art installation called “Peak Light.” The colorful canopy features sewn-in panels reminiscent of stained glass that shift in appearance as the sunlight moves throughout the day—making the space feel just as vibrant as the street it’s named after.

While most of the 16th Street renovation is complete, the final blocks are still under construction, with full completion expected by fall. Still, the majority of the corridor is open and buzzing with energy, and the Skyline Beer Garden is once again the perfect gathering place to sip, socialize, and soak up the city.
