A man lost his life in a tragic incident involving a pedestrian collision on Interstate 70 early Sunday morning.

At approximately 3:16 a.m., the Denver Police Department (DPD) received reports of a multi-vehicle crash near the intersection of Interstate 70 and Interstate 225. Upon arrival, emergency responders found a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle. Sadly, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
Initial reports indicated that one motorist had perished, but further investigation revealed that the deceased individual was indeed a pedestrian. The cause of the pedestrian’s presence on the highway remains unclear.
The driver involved in the collision remained at the scene and was promptly arrested on suspicion of vehicular homicide and driving under the influence. Three additional individuals sustained injuries as a result of the incident and were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Details regarding the extent of their injuries have not been released by authorities.
