Parker Police Searching for Person Who Abandoned Two Neglected Dogs Near School

The Parker Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the person responsible for abandoning two dogs near Pioneer Elementary School earlier this week.

On the morning of Tuesday, August 6, around 8:30 a.m., a white pickup truck with a topper was seen dropping off two Labrador-type dogs near the parking lot of the school, off Riva Ridge Street. The driver, described as a white, middle-aged man of average build, allegedly left the animals behind and drove away, according to police.

The abandoned dogs include an adult female and a 6-month-old puppy. Neither dog was microchipped, and both showed visible signs of neglect. Fortunately, the pair was safely taken into the care of a local shelter, where they are now receiving attention and care.

Parker Police are hoping that someone in the area may have witnessed the incident or captured it on a doorbell or dash camera. The department is urging residents with any information—no matter how small—to come forward.

“This kind of cruelty is unacceptable,” a department spokesperson said. “We’re working to identify the individual involved so that appropriate action can be taken.”

Anyone with relevant information or footage is encouraged to contact Parker Police Community Services Officer Jacob Gingold at jgingold@parkerco.gov or by phone at 303-805-6851.
