In 2011, Stranahans Distillery released a special bottle of Whiskey, named Snowflake. There were only a few Barrels, and a Limited number of Bottles made, which made this libation a collectors item. Every year they put out a new Snowflake release, except for the past 3 years. But Stranahans is back with Snowflake Batch number 25. It goes on sale on Saturday, and like previous years, people will be camping out for this limited release.
Stranahans is aware that people camp out, so the festivities will start on Friday at their Distillery, located at 200 S. Kalamath St. with a Snowflake Village There will be food trucks, Live music, and a ton of games to keep you occupied until Snowflake goes on sale. They have not announced what time Snowflake goes on sale on Saturday, but you can expect it to sell out in less than 24 hours. Everyone is limited to Two 750 ml Bottles, and each bottle will run $119.99 Plus tax.
If you want to camp out for Whiskey, they will let a limited number of people line up Thursday night. Once those spots are full, you will need to wait until Friday morning at 9Am to join the Queue. They are asking that tents be smaller than 6 person. Space is limited, and is first come first serve. Please leave the Dogs at Home.
It should be good urban camping weather, at least for December. Weather.com says it should drop to just under Freezing Friday night, but during the day, you’re looking at Upper 40’s and 50’s.
