Adorable Fawn Rescued After Getting Stuck in Deck Railing in Morrison
A tiny fawn found itself in a tight spot in Morrison before two local animal control officers stepped in to help.
Animal Control Officers Duplan and Moore responded after the young deer became trapped in the railing of a residential deck and couldn’t free itself.
The officers carefully worked to release the fawn without injuring it. Once freed, the little deer quickly ran off, but thankfully, the story didn’t end there.
Not long after the rescue, the fawn was reunited with its mother nearby. It was later seen safely nursing, providing some reassurance that the stressful adventure had a happy ending.
Young deer can occasionally find themselves separated from their mothers or stuck while exploring unfamiliar surroundings. In this case, a little patience and a gentle rescue were all that were needed to get this Colorado baby back where it belonged.
After one unexpected detour through a Morrison deck railing, the fawn was back with mom — hopefully with a newfound appreciation for staying on the other side of the fence.
