5 Tips For Packing For A Trip With Kids

These tips will help make packing for your trip with kids a breeze

Are you heading out on a family vacation and dreading the thought of packing for everyone? Never fear! These five tips will help make packing for your trip with kids a breeze. With a little bit of planning, you’ll be able to take everything you need without filling up your entire suitcase. So pack your bags and get ready for some fun-filled memories!

1. Make a packing list for each person

Make a list of everything needed by day. Separate them into categories, such as daytime adventures, out-to-dinner outfits, swimsuits, pajamas, etc.
Focus on packing one person at a time and have an open suitcase where you place items as you cross them off. This helps so as not to forget anything.

2. Pack your kid’s outfits in a labeled plastic bag

Place each child’s outfit for the day in a sealed plastic bag. Label the bag by day, and include any accessories needed for the day such as headbands, hats, etc.
This makes it much easier for the child to get dressed for the day and a handy place to put dirty clothes at the end of the day!

3. Let each child have their own suitcase

Letting them have their own bag makes it so much easier to keep things organized while in a hotel, or on the road. This makes it less likely you’ll forget something and the kids can keep their souvenirs separate. Hence, limiting the arguments.

4. Let the kids have some say on what they take on the trip

We may forget their favorite lovey, but they will certainly remember. Going on vacation can be stressful for some children, so having some familiar things that remind them of home can be soothing.

5. Buy what you can when you arrive

Bring the essentials, and some travel snacks, but buy what you can when you arrive at your destination. This saves tons of space and minimizes waste. Just make a local grocery store trip one of your first stops after checking out your accommodations.

So there you have it – our top five tips for packing for a trip with kids! We hope these help make your vacation planning a little bit easier. Remember to bring sunscreen, take pictures and most importantly, enjoy your family time!
