Over 100 years ago, Carl T. Hammond, Sr. opened Hammond’s Candy Factory in Denver with a commitment to quality. Carl began making candy in his kitchen with his wife and children, selling it door-to-door and at the local farmers market. As word of his delicious confections spread, Carl hired a few employees and rented a small factory space. Within a few years, Hammond’s had outgrown its original factory and moved to a larger facility. Today, Hammond’s Candies are enjoyed by fans all over the world. They are proud to continue their founder’s legacy of making delicious treats by hand from start to finish. Thanks to their devoted fans, Hammond’s Candies have become an iconic American brand.

Carl T. Hammond, Sr. was always an entrepreneurial spirit. After years spent learning the candy business, he decided to start his own company: Hammond’s Candy Company on Platte River Street in Denver, CO. His first original candy was Carl’s Honey Ko Kos, chocolates topped with shredded coconut. These were an instant hit with locals and soon Carl was shipping his chocolates all over the country. Today, Hammond’s is still a family-run business and specializes in handcrafted, small-batch candy. From their classic caramels and lollipops to their innovative flavor combinations, Hammond’s Candies are truly one-of-a-kind. Thanks to Carl’s vision and hard work, Hammond’s has been delighting sweet tooths for over 100 years!
