It’s that time of year again when pumpkins and apples line the shelves, graveyards are filled with ghouls and ghosts, and children dress up in costumes. While we’re all eagerly awaiting the treat-giving holiday of Halloween night, why not get a head start on your festivities? Here are some simple recipes that will leave your guests feeling satisfied without being too full after all their trick-or-treating. -Taco Cups with Spicy Salsa (serves 4) One taco seasoning packet or 1/2 teaspoon chili powder plus salt and pepper to taste 2 tablespoons water 8 small corn tortillas cut into quarters 3 cups shredded lettuce 12 ounces ground beef cooked according to package instructions 16 slices American cheese 14 cherry tomatoes sliced in half 12 grape tomatoes quartered 10 olives chopped 6 tablespoons sour cream 7 tablespoons salsa Mix together the taco seasoning mix
