CU Boulder Sorority’s “Juicy” Recruitment Dance Explodes Online
A group of sorority sisters at the University of Colorado Boulder has unexpectedly become one of the latest viral sensations, with millions of people watching their Y2K-inspired recruitment dance.
Members of Kappa Kappa Gamma dressed in matching navy velour tracksuits reminiscent of the iconic Juicy Couture look of the early 2000s before performing a tightly choreographed routine outside their sorority house.
The theme carries throughout the video, with a large “Y2K KKG” banner decorated with throwback graphics including flip phones and lipstick. While several members perform the routine front and center, dozens more cheer them on from the steps and lawn.
The combination apparently hit the social media sweet spot. The video and reposts have generated millions of views, with viewers commenting on everything from the synchronized choreography to the matching outfits and unmistakable early-2000s nostalgia.

And one observation keeps popping up: the whole thing looks very, very Juicy.
The viral moment comes during recruitment season at CU Boulder, when sororities regularly produce videos designed to introduce their chapters and attract potential new members. But this one managed to break far outside the usual college Greek-life audience.
The polished choreography, huge group of participants and throwback fashion helped turn what started as a sorority recruitment video into something millions of people around the country are now watching.
Twenty years after velour tracksuits seemingly ruled the world, CU Boulder’s Kappa Kappa Gamma sisters are offering evidence that Y2K fashion — and the “Juicy” look that came with it — isn’t going anywhere just yet.
