Ball Arena Brings Back the “Value Menu” with New $5 Fan-Friendly Options

It looks like Ball Arena is taking a page out of the fast-food playbook — bringing value back to the fans. After a wave of complaints about sky-high food and drink prices, the home of the Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche is rolling out a new “Fan-Friendly Menu” this fall that gives spectators a break at the concession stand.

The move comes after fans voiced frustration over what many considered some of the most expensive concession prices among Denver’s major sports venues. In response, Ball Arena introduced a lineup of classic stadium favorites — all for just $5 — in what’s being seen as sports’ version of a “value menu comeback.”

The $5 Fan-Friendly Menu includes:

  • Hot Dog (previously $7.50)

  • Jumbo Pretzel (previously $8)

  • Cheese Nachos

  • Popcorn

  • Candy

  • Fries

  • Fountain Soda (previously $6.50)

But the biggest buzz is about beer. Fans attending sporting events will now pay $10 for a 20-ounce domestic draft, making it the cheapest beer deal among Denver’s pro sports venues at just 50 cents per ounce, according to Steve On Your Side’s stadium price survey.

The move aligns with a growing trend among major U.S. sports franchises to win back goodwill from fans frustrated by inflation-driven price hikes. Teams in cities like Atlanta, Cleveland, and Dallas have also adopted “fan value” menus, realizing that affordability can be as important as on-field performance when it comes to building loyalty.

For Ball Arena — where tickets already come at a premium — this could be a smart play. The affordability push is expected to make it easier for families and younger fans to enjoy the full game-day experience without emptying their wallets.

With food and drink prices soaring across entertainment venues nationwide, this new $5 menu might just be the kind of small victory Denver fans can actually cheer for — even before the first puck drops or tipoff begins.
