Chip and Joanna Gaines Take “Fixer Upper” to the Colorado Mountains
Get ready, Colorado — Chip and Joanna Gaines are trading the plains of Texas for the peaks of the Rockies. The HGTV power couple behind Fixer Upper are launching a brand-new limited series, “Fixer Upper: Colorado Mountain House,” premiering December 9 on Magnolia Network and HGTV, and streaming on Max and Discovery+.
Known for transforming nearly every corner of Waco, Texas, the Gaineses are taking on a new challenge: renovating a 1960s-era mountain property deep in Colorado’s high country. The three-part special promises plenty of surprises — from stunning mountain views and rustic architecture to cozy family gathering spaces and even a few unexpected visits from local wildlife.
Colorado holds a special place in the Gaines family’s hearts. Over the years, they’ve spent countless ski trips and family getaways here, and it’s during those visits that Joanna says “a dream took root to one day carve out a place of our own.” Now that dream is coming to life — and viewers will get to follow every step of the transformation.
Magnolia Network describes the series as “an exciting new chapter for Chip and Joanna,” blending the signature heart and humor of Fixer Upper with a fresh mountain twist. Whether you’re a die-hard fan or a Colorado local, this one’s a must-watch.
