Denver welcomes RARE– a festival for meat lovers centered around the Wild West’s juicy cuts.

For one evening, during the Memorial holiday weekend, the best steak houses in the city came together. They dished up their highest-quality steak bites paired perfectly with steak-worthy cocktails.

“It’s rare (pun intended) to experience something as deliciously fun as this event put together by DiningOut. Not even the Taste of Colorado can match this type of event and the private type atmosphere that goes with it,” said #ImFromDenver’s own J. Wignz.

RARE is in partnership with Stella Artois and benefitting Colorado Restaurant Foundation. The festival is a head-to-head competition between 25 of the region’s most acclaimed steak houses. Each house will put its grilling expertise to the test as they compete for the title of Top Steak.

The steaks are high and mouth-watering; RARE encapsulated the feeling as if Food Network dropped a juicy cook-off show in the middle of Denver. As attendees took a bite of one steak at a time, it raised many questions, including, what makes a great steak?

The voting polls on election day aren’t the only time your vote matters. The attendees can help decide which steak reigns supreme, as competitors gather the most votes from a panel of professional judges and the guests.

There are a few categories where chefs can win the hearts of the city’s steak lovers, like the “Traditional Steak” category, or risk it all with a little creative flare in the “Creative Steak” category. All restaurants, however, will enter a signature cocktail to complement their plates to up the ante.

DiningOut magazine, owned by Jeff Suskin and his wife Slaisa, might sound familiar. The dynamic duo is the same group responsible for Denver’sTOP TACO and Chicken Fight! RARE has proven to be another culinary experience that features food, drinks, and fun in one location for an evening sure to ignite all of your senses.

The RARE Denver Steak Competition is a 21+ event only.
