The Food and Drug Administration officially declared that it’s a bad idea to use NyQuil as a chicken marinade.
Ummmm….What?
The federal agency felt obligated to issue the warning after a social media challenge encouraged people to cook chicken in NyQuil and other cough medicines. They felt obligated to explain the pure idiocy of the idea. I can not wrap my brain around the stupidity of these social media trends.
What won’t we do for views?
Not only is this an absolutely disgusting flavor combination but it is also potentially dangerous. I urge readers and social media followers to use their common sense. Please.
The FDA didn’t include any reports of people who’ve gone to the emergency room after eating the unappetizing meal. But the agency mentioned a previous challenge that urged people to take large doses of the allergy medicine Benadryl, to try to induce hallucinations, and that it led to reports of teenagers going to the emergency room.
Why are teens more likely to want to participate in bizarre, potentially dangerous stunts on social media?
To put it simply, teenagers are hormone-raging maniacs who think the wilder the challenge the cooler they are. To be honest this social media trend is dangerous and encourages stupidity in children who haven’t yet developed common sense.
For the love of social media. Don’t follow dumb trends Denver. And when Thanksgiving arrives come November, do not baste your turkey in cough medicine.
