An Indiana teen, 18-year-old Ethan Cundiff, was arrested after a high-speed chase in Wyoming that involved the kidnapping of a juvenile girl from Colorado. The incident began when Cheyenne Police officers were alerted to a runaway juvenile from Westminster, Colorado, who had reportedly met Cundiff online. Authorities quickly located Cundiff and the girl near the 5700 block of Education Drive in Cheyenne.

When officers approached the vehicle to investigate, Cundiff fled, sparking a dangerous chase along Interstate 25. According to the Cheyenne Police Department, the pursuit stretched for several miles, with Cundiff weaving in and out of lanes in an attempt to evade capture. Officers pursued the vehicle as it sped down the interstate, and the Wyoming Highway Patrol eventually deployed spike strips, which successfully disabled Cundiff’s vehicle, bringing the chase to an end.

Cundiff was arrested at the scene and booked into the Laramie County Jail. He faces multiple charges, including kidnapping, reckless driving, and fleeing law enforcement. During the investigation, authorities also uncovered an outstanding warrant for Cundiff’s arrest in Indiana, adding to the charges he now faces.

The juvenile girl, who had been reported missing, was safely recovered by law enforcement. The authorities have not released further details on the extent of her involvement or condition, but her rescue brought relief to her family. Cundiff remains in custody while legal proceedings move forward in both Wyoming and Indiana. The case has raised concerns about the dangers of online interactions, particularly involving minors, and highlights the swift response of law enforcement to prevent further harm in a potentially tragic situation.
