Street Sweeping Season Starts in Denver on Tuesday

Hey Denverites,

Spring is here, and with it comes the return of street sweeping season!  Mark your calendars for **Tuesday, April 2nd**, because that’s when the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI) will be back out there keeping our streets clean.

We all know what a pain it can be to move your car, but trust us, it’s important. Street sweepers help remove dirt, debris, and leaves that can clog storm drains and lead to flooding. Not to mention, they keep our air and water cleaner.

Here’s the deal:

* Pay attention to those red and white signs on your block. They’ll tell you exactly when street sweeping happens on your street.

* You can also enter your address online at [denvergov.org/online-services-hub] to find your street sweeping schedule.

* Don’t forget, you can sign up for email or text reminders at the same website!

The last thing you want is a **$50 ticket** for forgetting to move your car.  Trust me, that’s enough to put a damper on anyone’s spring mood.  So be a good neighbor, keep our streets clean, and avoid the ticket blues by following the street sweeping signs!

Here’s a fun fact to end on: Last year, Denver’s street sweepers collected enough dirt and debris to fill 15 Olympic-sized swimming pools!  That’s a lot of grime!

Let’s all do our part to keep Denver sparkling clean. Happy Spring!
