On Sunday, the XFL announced eight host cities for their 2023 kickoff season. Included in these were Houston, Seattle, St. Louis, Washington D.C., Arlington, TX and newcomers for the season: Las Vegas, Orlando, Fl and San Antonio.
The XFL filed for bankruptcy amid the COVID-19 pandemic midway through its 2020 season.

With that announcement came the news that Wade Phillips is officially moving on to the next phase of his coaching career. The longtime NFL coach has officially been named the head coach of the XFL’s Houston team.
