Denver’s cannabis scene is about to get a whole lot more social. Cirrus Social Club, the city’s first licensed cannabis lounge, is slated to open in January 2024, and it’s already generating a lot of buzz.

“Cirrus intends to provide a warm, clean, comfortable, and safe space where adults can come to socialize, learn, and interact with each other, while responsibly enjoying state-legal cannabis and cannabis products,” says the Cirrus website.

Cirrus is billing itself as a place where people can “enjoy cannabis in a social and sophisticated setting.” That means no more smoking on your couch or in the park. At Cirrus, you can relax and enjoy your cannabis in a stylish and comfortable environment.

The lounge will feature a full bar, a restaurant, and live entertainment. There will also be a private ballroom, the Rose Room, which can be rented for special events. Cirrus is targeting millennials, Gen Xers, and tourists who are looking for a more upscale cannabis experience. They’re also hoping to attract people who are new to cannabis, and who want to learn more about it in a safe and supportive environment.

“It’s been fourteen months, and I could not be more excited to get the doors open,” Cirrus founder Arend Richard to Westword.
