DJ Squizzy Taylor doesn’t just play music. He controls the energy.

A Colorado native and Thomas Jefferson High School alum, Squizzy built his career the long way—years of parties, clubs, radio, private events, and constant work behind the scenes. Music was always part of his life, from family members who played instruments to the old school sounds that shaped his ear early. By the mixtape era, he wasn’t just collecting music—he was learning how people respond to it.

He started DJing in college and quickly became known for reading the room without forcing the moment. That ability—knowing what to play and when to play it—is what separates a DJ from someone pressing buttons.

It’s also what made him the Broncos DJ.

On game day, Squizzy is part of the full in game entertainment production at Empower Field. He’s on a headset, synced with screens, crowd prompts, and live game flow. Before kickoff, the focus is the players—working directly with them through relationships and playlists to set the tone. Once the game starts, it’s about the fans. Every touchdown, interception, and momentum shift has its own feel, and the music has to match it in real time.

When it works, you don’t notice the DJ. You just feel the moment.

Off the field, Squizzy continues to build Denver’s culture. Through his team, Higher Power, he helps create events and experiences across the city. He’s also a business owner, running Foreplay Kitchen and Cocktails near Coors Field—a sports bar built for games, fights, food, and community.

Giving back is just as important. Through the Celebrate Life Foundation, Squizzy helps teach financial literacy to kids and adults, covering real life skills like budgeting, credit, and home ownership, working directly with schools and community partners.

His message is simple and very Denver: keep telling the city’s stories. With so many people moving here, history can get buried if locals don’t protect it.

DJ Squizzy Taylor is one of those stories. Raised here, rooted here, and now setting the soundtrack for what Denver feels like.
